Donna Kay Wilson passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at her residence in Greensboro, Georgia. Donna was born in Warner Robins, Georgia on August 29, 1958, where her father was employed at the time. She was the daughter of the late Harold Davis Wilson and Flossie Avis Greene Wilson. Donna dedicated her professional life to public service, working for the State of Georgia as a caseworker for the Georgia Department of Family and Children’s Services and later with the Georgia Division of Aging Services.
Donna was a dearly devoted sister and friend, always available, and always ready to offer her shoulder. Donna enjoyed flower gardening-particularly roses. She enjoyed painting and reading books. Donna served in the women's prison ministry and sang with the music team. Donna loved all animals, especially hummingbirds and bluebirds. Donna was a true Georgia Bulldog fan and could be found enthusiastically cheering them on. Donna found joy in life's simple and beautiful pleasures and enjoyed exploring and riding four wheelers on the Wilson farm. Donna loved the ocean and enjoyed going to the beach as often as she could. The world is gentler, brighter and better because Donna was here.
She is survived by her family: sisters, Virginia Wilson Norris (Mike) and Ann Wilson; nephew, Steven B. Norris (Shelly); great nieces Katie, Lilly and Abbie Norris, great nephew Joseph (Trey) Norris III, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friend Lisa Lariscy. She was preceded in death by her beloved nephew Joseph “Joey” Norris, Jr. and her cousin Fred “Freddie” McCannon.
